Wine Tasting Club

The Club started on Tuesday 5th February 2008 when a small group gathered to taste wines with food. A wine expert travelled from the South of France bringing with him several wines which had not been previously tasted in the UK.

The format of the evenings is to taste wines and then to taste the same wines with food. The first meeting we sampled wines that were selected to compliment starter courses. Following the tasting a supper was provided and included in the cost of the evening..

The wine club will meet the first Tuesday of the month.

In view of limited spaces and the need to ensure sufficient supplies it is requested that booking is essential.

The wine evenings will start at 7.30pm prompt.

Tuesday 1st April 2008: Wines to taste with main courses

Tuesday 6th May 2008: Wines to taste with cheese

Tuesday 3rd June 2008: Wines to taste with desserts

Tuesday 1st July 2008 South African Wines and Braai - cancelled due to the unavailability of certain meats
